 held at Statesville, North Carolina  - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 30 - 31 & November 1, 1987


ACF District 4 Tournament:  Elbert Lowder of Sanford, N.C., won the 1987 District 4 tourney, winning over runner-up Paul Davis, Virginia, on Honor Points.  The tourney was held October 30 - November 1 in Statesville, N.C.  Placing third was Ed Bruch, then C. Crawford, J. Webster, L. Balderson, R. Butler, H. Owen, T. Laverty, and R. Armstrong were next through the top ten.  Ben Jones, Flat Rock, N.C., won the Class B tourney, followed by M. Stephenson, J. McClellan, E. Luffman, E. Rolader, J. Weatherly, D. Trivette, P. Berry, V. Defenderfer, and W. Williams through the top 10.  There were 40 entrants.   [ACFB #211, page 2 - February 1988]
